Dr. John Townsend and Dr. Dave Stoop
1. My 17-yr-old daughter was caught alone with her 43-yr-old boss; should he be reprimanded? [parenting; sexual integrity]
2. I sort of committed adultery, should I tell my wife? [sexual integrity; marriage]
3. My husband doesn’t discipline the kids the same as me. [parenting]
4. I am engaged to a hoarder, is that a red flag? [dating]

FOR 12/1 SHOW caller whose daughter just turned 16 tell her: Contact child protective services to investigate whether any sexual contact or anything else that can be prosecuted occurred before she turned 16, go also to district atty, don’t accept dismissal by police, push for prosecution, report this also to head of co. where daughter works./ Caller Bob tell your wife of adultery, bible is clear always confess your sin, bible never says hide your sin or cover it up, AA 12 steps “unless would harm them” isn’t biblical, is humanist, + adulterer is in no position to tell, it’s right thing to do even if spouse divorces you. Also prevents recurrence + if spouse finds out on own will NEVER trust you, longer you go w/out confessing more angry spouse will be. Hosts are right bible doesn’t say say everything that’s true even if hurtful [“you’re fat”], but it does say confess all sin to those you wronged, Jesus told Zachias to confess + make restitution to ALL

Christian leaders giving advice that might be better not to confess adultery to spouse or should wait to confess, maybe not at all, this position encourages adultery in 1st place. If all Christian pastors & leaders followed bible & taught that must immediately confess adultery to spouse then many affairs wouldn’t happen, teaching biblical position in 1st place puts a chill on urge to have affair if in your conscience you know you’ll have to confess
